How to Calculate Marks Using UGC-NET Answer Key 2024?

If you applied for the UGC NET English Literature Exam 2024, it’s important to understand how the cut-off is determined for each post. The cut-off is calculated on the basis of the Government of India’s reservation policy, which divides the available JRF award slots across different categories. You can calculate your total marks using the formula: Total Marks = Number of Correct Questions * 2.

    Here’s how it works:

    • Paper I has 50 questions, with a total of 100 marks (2 marks per question).
    • Paper II has 100 questions, with a total of 200 marks (2 marks per question).
    • There is no negative marking in the UGC NET Exam.

    To calculate your score:

    • Begin by comparing your answers with those mentioned in the UGC-NET answer key 2024.
    • For every correct answer, add 2 marks. There’s no penalty for incorrect or unattempted questions.
    • Repeat this process for all questions to calculate your estimated score. To avoid any errors, it’s a good idea to double-check your calculations.
    • The qualifying cut-off for UGC NET eligibility in the SC category will be based on the total percentage you have obtained in both papers, relative to the number of vacancies. The same method is used for all subjects and categories.
