The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to release the final results and scorecard for the exam conducted in the months of August and September 2024. After the cancellation of the UGC NET June exam due to paper leaks and malpractices, the NTA confirmed that the fresh exam will be conducted for all the 83 subjects nationwide. The fresh re-exam was conducted on August 21, 22, 23, 27, 28, 29, 30, and September 2, 3, 4, and 5 in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode all over the country.
The provisional answer key for the UGC NET exam was released in multiple phases, and the extended objection window was closed on September 14.
The provisional answer key was released in several phases by the National Testing Agency, and the candidates were asked to send objections with proper proof and documents in support of their answer. The candidates were also asked to pay an amount of ₹ 200 for each question challenged. The NTA said their subject experts will review the challenges made by candidates, and if found valid, the final answer key will be revised.
The official and final answer key of the test will be released once the results are out or together in one go.
The result of UGC NET will be prepared using the final answer key.
Now is the time for results, and it can be released any time soon. Neither NTA nor UGC has notified any stipulated date for the result, but the internet is already buzzed up with the result updates. Everyone is talking about the marks, scorecard, result, and cut-off scores. This time, the result will be declared in three categories, namely:
(i)Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor with Ph.D.
(ii) Assistant Professor with Ph.D.
(iii) Ph.D. only.
This will be decided by the University Grants Commission based on the candidate’s score. These latest changes were made by the University Grants Commission in the month of April 2024 through an official notice, which can be seen here.
How and where to check out the results of the UGC NET exam?
The candidate first needs to go to the official website, i.e., https//www.ugcnet.nta.ac.in
There they will be able to locate the UGC NET scorecard download link.
The candidate is required to enter their login credentials—application number and date of birth.
Click on the security check box and enter the security pin as shown below.
The candidate then needs to click on submit and check their result.
After the result and score card appear on the screen, they will be able to download it in the PDF format by clicking on the Print option for future reference.
