Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRSs) were introduced in the year 1997-98 to impart quality education to Scheduled Tribe children in remote areas in order to enable them to avail of opportunities in high and professional educational courses and get employment in various sectors. EMRS Exam
To hire qualified personnel for EMRS schools, the National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS) conducts national-level exams for teaching and non-teaching positions. The EMRS conducts this exam to recruit eligible candidates for various teaching and non-teaching positions such as TGT, PGT, Principal, Junior Secretariat Assistants (JSAs), Accountants, Lab Assistants, Librarians, and Hostel Wardens.
EMRS Exam Pattern
The EMRS exam pattern varies according to the post. If you’re preparing for EMRS, then you need to cover topics including, reasoning and numeric ability, general awareness, language competency test, academics and residential aspects, and administration and finance. The exam pattern for the EMRS PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) consists of a single-stage OMR-based test featuring objective-type questions. The total duration of the exam is 180 minutes. For PGT posts, there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer. You need to cover topics related to general awareness, reasoning ability, knowledge of ICT, teaching aptitude, language competency test, and English Literature.
